Prambanan temple is known as the highest Hindu temple in Indonesia. It is only 17 km distance from Yogya or only 30 - 40 minutes drive. It is temple complex, so it is not only one single temple.

For Prambanan tour, it can start from Yogya. Prambanan tour can be combine with Yogya city tour. What you can do is visit to Sultan Palace, Water Castle, then Prambanan temple. Or you also can do Borobudur temple - Prambanan temple in one day.

Prambanan temple is open from 6 am to 5.30 pm. You need at least 2 hours to visit it. First visit the main temple then visit another temple in same area. That are Lumbung temple, Bubrah temple and Sewu temple. The other 3 temple are Buddhis temple. Ya, we have 3 Buddhis temple inside Hindu temple. Actually it show us that during the 8-9 Century, Hindhu and Buddha were life together and they have good tolerance.

BOROBUDUR TOUR

 Borobudur tour with Yogya driver

Borobudur temple is the largest Buddhis temple in the world. It is about 42 km from Yogya, exactly in Magelang district - Central Java Province. 

It is need about one hour drive from YOGYA, that's why many people who want to visit Borobudur temple stay in Yogya. Yogya is actually between Borobudur and Prambanan temple. And it is possible to do one day tour to Borobudur and Prambanan temple.

For the time being is not possible to see sunrise from Borobudur temple, because this temple is open at 7 am. In the past, people can see sunrise from Borobudur temple that arrange by Manohara hotel. But now is not anymore. Maybe next time will do it again and we will inform the update.

Best time to visit Borobudur temple is in the morning, that is before 9 am. Because the weather is not to hot and usually still less people.
